Born Of Dust

The inspiration for this artwork comes from the biblical verse of Ecclesiastes 3:20, which describes how all living beings originate from dust and eventually return to it. The experience of being buried in the earth and then emerging from it, evoked a sense of claustrophobia, as I felt trapped within my own skin. This process also made me question the religious significance of our temporary bodies as vessels for our souls. Through this experience, I underwent a baptism-like transformation, in which I became one with the earth. This piece serves as a powerful reminder of the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death, as well as our connection to the natural world.
