I attempted to animate the growth of hyphae, the fine threads of mycelium, as it consumes an imaginary circular form. This complex process is integral to the life cycle of fungi, as it allows them to extract nutrients from their surroundings. The growth of hyphae is a crucial factor in the formation of mycelium, which is the vegetative part of a fungi. By studying the growth of hyphae which is an organic plant-like form, I gain a understanding of the natural world and how it creates its own material that mimic the idea of building blocks, similar to a spiders web.
