Growing Patterns
Emily Carr University of Art & Design
Materials: Animated projections
A three-part installation has been created to explore the nature of mycelium and other patterns of our environment. The installation brings to the forefront what lies beneath our feet, our forests, as well as our bodies. Twenty seven unique animations across the gallery identify different types of movement present in nature, which allows the narrative to be an experience. The movement of white lines in various projections emphasizes the idea of presence and absence existing in harmony.
