Growing Patterns

Ecological structures created through line drawings was used to transform a room into a gallery of stimulating patterns that are found in our environment. The patterns on the structures can range from simple to intricate, and can be inspired by anything from the patterns on butterfly wings to the geometry of plant cells. By incorporating these structures into a space, I bring the beauty and complexity of nature indoors by recreating patterns of our environment.

Taking Up Spaces

Connected strings reflect vibrating rhizome patterns on the wall, slowly shifting the visual space of the viewer.

Physical forms depict the underlaying structures of mycelium as an attempt to visualize the breath of their presence.
